St Starting from the explanation of The Clause (the very basic subject and the predicate)
It is defined as:
A group of words that forms part of the sentence and contains the subject and the predicate is called a clause.
SUBJECT AND PREDICATE ARE THE MAIN FORMS OF SENTENCES THAT YOU SHOULD MANDATORY KNOW TO GET THE KNOW-HOW OF WHAT THE CLAUSE IS.
(1) THE SUBJECT
(2) THE PREDICATE
The Subject is the part of the sentence that names the person or a thing we are speaking about.
FOR EXAMPLE We name some person or a thing like
~ In the above example Jack is the subject. He is also the subject.
The Predicate Is The Part Of a Sentence that is telling something about the subject.
Here (you) is the subject and (have made a mistake)is the predicate. Hence, This sentence is of clause as it contains both the subject and predicate in the same sentence.
He went to the grocery shop.
In This Sentence The Subject is HE AND the predicate is WENT TO THE GROCERY SHOP.
Separate The Subject And The Predicate In The sentence below:
The Rainbow soon faded away.
